Even when a pregnancy is wanted and welcomed, it often asks a great deal of you emotionally, mentally, physically, and relationally. You may be adjusting to changes in your body, managing fear about birth or motherhood, navigating shifts in your relationship, or feeling more tender, tired, or overwhelmed than expected. You may also be carrying questions about identity, work, support, or how life is about to change. This season is not only about preparing for a baby. It is also about caring for the person becoming a mother.

You may feel more sensitive, anxious, tearful, or mentally overloaded as your body, hormones, responsibilities, and expectations begin to shift.

You may be worried about labor, delivery, motherhood, your health, your baby’s wellbeing, or whether you will be able to handle what lies ahead.

You may feel like parts of your old life are already changing, leaving you unsure of who you are becoming or how to stay connected to yourself.
