The Life Coaching Process
Life Coaching is a transformative process that works! It is a partnership between you and your coach for the specific purpose of assisting you in the areas personal growth and achievement of your goals. Together with your coach, you sort, sift, share, clarify, prioritize, and make a plan of action towards a specific outcome.
The life coaching process is similar to pouring clean water into a dirty glass. If you keep adding fresh water, the glass will eventually become clear too. Challenging outdated and limiting perspectives while focusing on the combination of your values, strengths, gifts, skills, solutions, growth and goals is the fresh water for your dreams. The more you pour in, the more open, creative and confident you become. The more confident you become the better able you are to explore your edges and move past obstacles and limitations.
At its core, the life coaching process contributes by increasing your sense of autonomy. With improved confidence and self-esteem you are better able to rely on your strengths, values, gifts, talents, skills, and passions. It is from this vantage point that you are better able to play with possibilities, face your fears, overcome your limitations, experiment with new perspectives and transform old ways of being and doing.
Making the Most of Your Life
Most of us want to make the most out of our lives but often struggle to figure out what is right and true for ourselves. Today, more than ever, it’s easy to be bombarded with information making it difficult to decipher truth from fiction. And if that wasn’t enough, it is common to feel pressure to perform to other people’s standards. When you add these to the other challenges of daily life, it is easy to lose sight of what’s truly meaningful and fulfilling. When confusion is unresolved, a gridlock can occur. Chronic states of anxiety, stuckness, stress and depression can overwhelm your vision and sense of self. When this happens, it’s often helpful to get an outside perspective to assist you.
Through coaching, you will gain the insight necessary to more accurately interpret, understand and moderate your thoughts, emotions, attitude, and feelings making it much easier to make positive choices. With improved levels of perception, you increase your level of self-acceptance and feelings of being at home in your skin.
Coaching helps you to prioritize what is truly important and provides you with tools to help you keep your goals in sight. When challenges do appear, and they will, coaching helps you to shift your focus from reacting to your problems to a more centered and solutions-oriented paradigm. This significant shift expands your capacity to see more opportunities and provides you with more clarity, inspiration, and resolve.
